Several months ago, Ramón Verdugo, a great photographer (check out his work here) contacted us because he was looking for a product designer and was impressed with Homeless Design. So, we team up to develop his project, a small documentary about the delicate work of who dedicated their lives to do things they loved.
We didn’t think twice before saying yes!
Blanca Ortiz, our cofounder and product designer, was in the first stages of designing a side table at that moment. The idea was to film the whole process, from sketching to the finished piece.They worked together with Jesús González, a lovely charming carpenter from Pelahustán, a small village near Talavera de la Reina, Spain. For the second year, Homeless Design exhibited in Brera and organized its annual competition for the Salone del Mobile. There were ten designers selected to exhibit during the Milan design week.
On Friday 12, 2013 took place the cocktail party where the Portuguese designer João Abreu Valente was granted with the 1st prize of the 2013 Homeless Design Competition for his piece Teapot´set. Read more →
